By air:
- Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is a hub for Delta Airlines and serves most Midwest markets.
- Transportation (to/from Airport):
- Light Rail Transit tickets and stations can be found at both Terminal 1 (Lindbergh) and Terminal 2 (Humphrey) terminals. Take the Blue Line from Terminal 1 or 2 toward downtown Minneapolis; transfer from the Blue Line at the Downtown East Station and cross the track to get on the Green Line heading east toward St. Paul; depart the Green Line at East Bank Station and you will see the Commons Hotel straight ahead, approximately ½ block to the east
- Hired car: A cab from the airport to the Commons Hotel should cost ~$35. Uber and Lyft are allowed to pick up from the arrivals’ curb at the airport, too.
By Car:
- From the South: Take 35W and merge onto I-94 East and follow the I-94 directions below.
- From the North:
- From the East and West: Take the Huron Boulevard exit from I-94 (north exit only). Take first left onto Fulton Street SE. Fulton Street becomes East River Road. Go down the hill and the East River Road parking garage entrance will be on your right.
- Parking:
- Coffman Union: The 1,900 space East River Road Garage provides both disability and short-term parking for Coffman and the East Bank campus. With an attached entrance to the south side of the building, the East River Road Garage is easily accessible from Delaware Street. For rates and maps please visit Parking and Transportation Services.
- The Commons Hotel: Self-parking for $20/night plus tax. Self-Parking is located directly behind the hotel in the flat parking lot. Overflow parking is available in the Washington Street ramp which is connected via skyway on the 3rd level – there are vehicle size restrictions.
- Courtyard Minneapolis Downtown: Self-parking available for $22/night.
